This is our community and here at The View Hotel, we're proud to go beyond...

 Our #spreadthejoy campaign is all about taking time out of our day to go beyond and give back to our community anyway we can. It could be something as simple as saving those who've been caught in the rain with an umbrella, paying it forward or volunteering at the Foodbank distribution depot. It's about granting wishes as Christmas or treating those special people who deserve a thank you and making sure that above all, that you know you're welcome...

Wish #11 …Granted!

We’d planned on 10 wishes for our #spreadthejoy Wish Tree campaign but when we heard about a local family who had had their outdoor Christmas lights stolen we wanted to jump in and restore their faith in our community.

Thank you to Candice, Stacy and Steven for helping us plan this wish and keep it a secret from Mum and Dad! We chose to replace the most precious of the lights that they’d had since their children were young, the 3D train 

Wish #10...Granted!

THIS WISH NEEDS YOUR HELP TODAY!!! 
Many of you nominated the project Coats For Kids that has been set up by the fantastic Rebecca Whippy of Embrace - East Sussex. Please help us get these warm coats to a deserving family before Christmas by sharing this post. Wish #9...Granted!

When we read this wish placed on our wish tree by little 4 year old Eva it really wowed us! Eva selflessly wished for a present to be delivered to her very sick friend Alex who is currently undergoing treatment for Leukemia.

Of course, we got on and ordered the Playmobile Police Station that Alex really wanted but we felt Eva deserved a gift of her own too for being so caring and thinking of others before herself. Well done Eva – we’re proud of you and we’re certain your family are too!

Thanks you for such a thoughtful wish Eva and we are sending our thoughts to little Alex and his family at this very difficult time 

Wish #8...Granted!

Kindness, family, making memories and giving the gift of time– just some of the true meanings of Christmas.

This next wish was placed on our tree by 3 wonderful ladies who just wanted to help their friend to get through Christmas this year after what’s been a very difficult year. It was our pleasure to help this family with a gift of a voucher towards food and presents.

Wish #7...Granted!

WE DO BELIEVE IN FAIRIES, WE DO, WE DO!! 

We just had to make little Lila’s very special wish to be a fairy come true at Christmas! All you need is faith, trust and a little pixie dust right?

Thank you to the magical Wriggles and Giggles Events who helped us make sure the very beautiful Snow Princess herself could be there with us on the day to surprise the

Wish #6...Granted

So many of you wished for us to take some treats down to the incredible staff and volunteer teams who work so hard down at St Wifrid's Hospice and show them how much they are appreciated in our community.

We left them with a voucher for an overnight stay at The View Hotel which they can either donate or raffle off if they prefer, plenty of festive doughnuts, shortbread and chocolate Santa’s! 

Thank you to the entire team at St Wilfrids Hospice for all you do – we are all so grateful. From all at The View Hotel and the people of Eastbourne!

Wish #5 …Granted!

This next wish for a Christmas hamper was nominated by the wonderful Sharon who told us about how this kind lady has helped her through a very difficult time.

Pauline has been a volunteer for The Eastbourne Blind Society for many years and has helped them fundraise thousands of pounds with her knitted donations and regularly helps out at the centre .

Wish #4 …Granted!

For this wish come true we dropped in with a donation of food, blankets and toys to see the founder of local charity Happy Paws Puppy Rescue!

This amazing charity rescue over 300 dogs every year from pounds and kill shelters from across Europe.

Wish #3 …Granted!

OH NO WE DIDN’T, OH YES WE DID!! 
We had quite a few wishes on our tree hoping we could help a deserving family to enjoy a magical night at the pantomime. After we linked with the fantastic Care for the Carers we narrowed it down to a very special lady and her family who we surprised at the annual Christmas lunch.

We hope you have a fantastic time together and enjoy making some very special memories on us!

Wish #2 …Granted!

This time we made a wish come true for Holly who nominated her Mum Denise to receive a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Who wouldn’t love a surprise knock at the door with a message of love hey?
